Biography
Martha E. Melvin was born about 1850 in Iowa.[1]
Martha married James Gibson about 1870.[2][3]
Martha was keeping house on their farm in Union County, Iowa, in 1880. She and James had four children by then and James was working on the farm.[4]
The family was in the same place in 1900, but the eldest children were gone and three new ones had been born.[5]
James and Martha remained on the farm in Union County after the children had all left home.[6]
