A. Marie Mennel was born in 1764 in France according to profiles listed on Ancestry.com. Her parents are unknown. She married Claude Henry who was born in 1757 and died in 1827. They were married in France on January 28, 1784 when A. Marie Mennel was 20 years old. She died in France on November 23, 1814. This is all the information we have on her.

My 1st cousin Patrick Henry was in the Army and stationed in Germany. He decided to travel to France where our Henry's ancestors lived before they came to America. The first Henry relative of mine to come to America was Pierre Henry who was born April 30, 1791 in France according to the church records.. His wife was Elisabeth Lalliere who was born November 19, 1806 at Berig, Moselle, Lorraine, France and died sometime after she arrived in America in 1840, the same year she arrived. Pierre Henry was the son of Claude Henry (1757) who married A. Marie Mennel (Abt 1764).

Patrick found the church (He cannot remember the name of the church) in Vallerange, Moselle, Lorraine, France. He photocopied the church records for the Henry relatives, which were 5 pages and gave me a copy. There are 4 generations of my previous Henry generations listed on the church records with listing of spouse, mother, father, children and birth dates, marriage dates, and death dates.

HENRY CLAUDE AND MENNEL A. MARIE: CLAUDE'S FATHER AND MOTHER WERE NICOLA HENRY AND GERTR. FRANCOIS BORN MAR. 31, 1757 AND DIED DEC. 7, 1827. HE WAS A CARPENTER AND LIVED IN BERIG. HIS WIFE A. MARIE MENNEL DIED NOV. 23, 1814.
