Biography
Dorcas Mercer was born about 1800 in Mulhenberg County, Kentucky. Tennessee was in correctly given, according to the 1850 U.S. Census.[1]
She gave birth to 7 children. Dorcas had three children with her first husband Thomas Uzzell, two children by an illicit affair with William McNary and two children with her second husband Willis Morgan.
The affair with William Campbell McNary Jr produced two off-spring; Martha Mercer Uzzell -Mercer-Tyson born Sep 1830 and Jason DeShay Uzzell born Nov 1835 '
She was first married 8 October 1818 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to Thomas Uzzell.[2] Her second marriage was to Willis Morgan in 1836.
