Welcome back to WikiTree, Sydney, and thanks for signing the Honor Code! I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

Check out the How-to pages for some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members. There is some great information in those pages.

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, I'm here to help. Let me know by replying to this message or sending me a private message.

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.

Congratulations, Sydney! You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree. To get started, please see: How to Use WikiTree.

The central hub where we share ideas and answer questions is our G2G Forum. It is here you will find the Question of the Week: What genealogy item is on your Christmas wish list this year? You may also search for topics of interest and introduce yourself with a post about an ancestor you are researching.

There are numerous ways you may get involved at WikiTree. See the Volunteers Needed page for more information on projects you can contribute to.

Thanks for volunteering and enjoy the journey. --Rod

Hi Sydney,

Welcome to the WikiTree family! The initial email from us has useful links that will get you started.

WikiTree is different because we have One Big Tree. Our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a single collaborative team. Our Honor Code is the key.

When you confirm your email address, you'll have an option to volunteer to add information to WikiTree, beginning with tags for your own profile. Tags are surnames, locations, concepts, etc. that you'd like to track.

If you decide to volunteer, a greeter will confirm your membership. After signing the Honor Code, you'll be able to add new profiles to the tree.

Carole

P.S. I'm always happy to answer questions.
