The birth of Thomas Mercer, son of Robert and Ann Mercer, on 5 February 1727/8 in St. Stephen's Parish, Cecil County, Maryland, was recorded in the St. Stephen's parish register. [1] The births of his sisters, Sarah (1 October 1729) and Elizabeth (28 September 1732), are recorded on the same page.
