Hannah Merrifield was born on September 14, 1745 in Dedham, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay, daughter of Thomas Merrifield (1708– ) and Mary Anderson (1711–1776).[1]
Her siblings were:
Hannah (22) married John Ranstead (21) (born on September 30, 1746 in Stoughton, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay Colony) on March 28, 1768 in Dedham. [2]They had at least 6 children:
Her husband John having been killed in action in the leadup to the Battle of Bennington in 1777, Hannah (39) married Seth Britton (42) (born about 1742 in Raynham, Bristol, Massachusetts) on April 26, 1785 in Westmoreland, Cheshire.
Hannah died on January 24, 1828 in Westmoreland, Cheshire, New Hampshire, United States, aged 82. She was buried in Edson Cemetery, Westmoreland, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.[9]
