Biography

Sarah, the daughter of Manus Sallee was born about 1643, calculated from the age on her gravestone. She is mentioned first in order (before sister Rebecca) in her fathers 1649 will.

Sarah Sallie married John Powell, by Mr. Ri. Russell, May 20, 1667, in Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts.[1]

Sarah Powel (a widow) was admitted to full communion in the Charlestown Cong. Church on 28 Feb 1668/9[2].

Sarah Powell, widow, married (2) John Blaney, June 26, 1672, in Charlestown. Mr. Russell Magistrate officiated.[1][3]

"Sarah Blany, wife of Mr. Jno. Blany" died Oct 18, 1694[1] ae 51 according to her gravestone or in 1693 ae 54 according to the Archives. Born 1643 or 1639.[3] She buried in the Old Phipps Street Burying Ground in Charlestown.[4]

  1. John Powell, son of John and Sarah, was born in Charlestowne, Apr. 2, 1668.[1] John, son of widow Sarah Powel, was baptized April 7 1669.[2].

Merrill-1144 and Sallee-170 appear to represent the same person because: Got it all figured out now. She is definitely Sarah Sallee, married John Powell, then John Blaney.
