Born in Rumford Maine USA. She is the daughter of the late Kenneth & Emma (Christie) Merrill. Olive worked as a school teacher in District 10 for almost 23 years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She was a longtime member of Christ Church Anglican Church, St Stephen, serving on the ACW and the Anglican Quilters Guild,and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Olive is survived by her daughter Sharyn Nicholls (Harry) of Fredericton, NB, her son Allen Reid (Marie) of Nanaimo, BC, 3 grandchildren, Kimberly Lewis (Dexter), Denise Maierhofer (Craig), and Nicole Jenkinson (Steve), 7 great grandchildren Kali, Ryan & Cameron, Aimee & Kyle, Mason & Phoebe. Olive was predeceased by her grandson Duane Reid, 3 sisters, Joyce, Lillian, and Muriel. Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110) from where the visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm. The memorial service in celebration of her life will be celebrated in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home on Saturday,November 23rd, at 3:00 pm. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home reception centre. In lieu of flowers donations to Christ Church or Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
