"Rolls of Connecticut men in the French and Indian War 1755-1762" shows Nathaniel Merrill in the 2nd Company, 1st Regiment, with Lieutenant Colonel Payson commanding from Hartford. 25 May 1758-15 Nov 1758. Discharged 02 Apr 1759. Re-enlisted in the campaign in the same Company and Regiment. This is the exact wording on my daughters accepted membership (#2243-MI) of the National Order of "The Continental Society of Daughters of Indian Wars" Approved 31 Jul 2018.
