Birth

He was born on 09JUL1844, in Landaff, New Hampshire. He is the son of Charles K Merrill and Sarah Thrusher.

Marriage

He marries Mary Jane Leete on 14JUL1865, in Newbury, Vermont. ^[1]

He marries Abby H Davis, age 47, on 26 April 1886. Charles is 41 at the time of his second marriage; his wife, Mary Jane Leete, had passed away the previous year. Charles' wife Abby died 24 December 1905.

Charles's probated will, probated 02 March 1906, names:

1. son Charles Henry Merrill
2. daughter Ada May Merrill Gould;
3. I give and bequeath to my daughter Winnie M Merrill my sewing machine
4. son Joseph H Merrill;
5. I give and bequeath to my daughter Flossie B Merrill Vibberts my organ.^[2]

Charles names his son-in-law Frank C Gould, Ada May's husband, as Trustee.

Death

He passes away on 07MAR1906, in Wentworth, Grafton, New Hampshire. ^[3]
