Biography

THOMAS MERRILL (9) (THOMAS-8, ABEL MERRILL-7, NATHANIEL MERRILL-6, NATHANIEL-5, JOHN MERRELL THE YOUNGER-4, JOHN MERYELL-3, JOHN-2, THOMAS-1) was born 05 Jan 1710/11 in Salisbury, Essex, Massachusetts, and died 11 Jan 1801 in South Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire.

He married Hannah Bagley of Amesbury, sister of Anne, who married Abel(4), his brother. It is said that Thomas(4) Merrill was twice married. Margaret Johnson, widow, was married 22 Aug 1776 in Salisbury, to "Thomas Merrill, "but whether this was Thomas(4) or his son Thomas(5) is not known. She died 25 Nov 1803 in Salisbury. Thomas(4) Merrill lived in the early part of his life in the north part of Newbury, Massachusetts. He removed to Kingston, New Hampshire and later to South Hampton.
