Biography

Mary was a Friend (Quaker)

Mary was the daughter of Ichabod and Sarah Merritt.[1] She was born 6d 1m 1773 [6 Jan 1773].[2]

In 1797, she married Amos Palmer at Nine Partners, Dutchess, New York.[1] When she married Amos Palmer, her mother Sarah was deceased.

They were granted a certificate to the Coeymans monthly meeting, along with their children Merritt and Sarah, on 21d 5m 1801 [21 May 1801].[3]

On 22d 12m 1814, the family was granted a certificate to the Duanesburg monthly meeting.[4] The family included Amos and Mary, along with their children Merritt, Sarah, Deborah, Benjamin, Anne, Syntha, and Mary.[4]
