Biography

Silva Ann was born in 1845. As a toddler she was unable to pronounce her own name. Instead she said "Siba" and that nickname followed her her entire life. She was the daughter of Joseph Sr Meservey and Elizabeth Bell Bell. In 1862 she married Reuben Gray (1839 – 1891). Their children include the following:

Joseph M. Gray 1863 – 1952, Sylva L. Gray 1866 – 1881, Jacob A. Gray 1869 – 1870, William Austin Gray 1874 – , Hattie Sarah Gray 1875 – 1910, Barbara Etta Gray 1877 – 1877, Mary E. Gray 1879 – , Clara Belle Gray 1883 – 1884, and Anna Siba Gray 1887 – 1947.

In 1891, her husband Reuben Gray died. The following year she married Charles F Fransham (1843 –). She passed away in 1925.
