Biography

Marguerite Messier, bapt. 24 mai 1676 Mtl; mariée avec Pierre Lesueur 29 mars 1690 dans la maison seigneuriale de son père (enregistré à Boucherville)[1]

Recensement 1681: SEIGNEURIE DE VARÈNE
Michel Messier 41 ; Anne Lemoyne, sa femme, 41 ; enfants : Anne 12, Gabriel 9, Jean 7, Marguerite 5, François 2, René 1 ; 4 fusils ; 8 bêtes à cornes ; 30 arpents en valeur.[2]

There are 5 children born to Marguerite and Pierre Lesueur between 1693 and 1699, all in Montréal, before they disappear from records of the Canada colony.[3]

Research Note

Death location was indicated as Fort Louis, Mobile, Alabama, United States Fort Louis only existed to 1712, so that was removed from location United States did not exist before 1776 so that was removed from location Alabama did not become a state until 1819 Province of Carolina is indicated by the Data Doctors spreadsheets on states names.[4]

Mobile in 1741 was still part of New France.[5]

Kate, can you check the death location. Fort Louis was abandoned in 1712 so could not have been the death location - there must be a better location. Also Alabama was not a state and was not in the United States at that time, so should be deleted and replaced with whatever that location was called of the time. A source for the information would be a good idea.

Messier-100 and Messier-128 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same birth date and place. Same father. Death location is possible as spouse Pierre has notations and PRDH documentation that he died outside of quebec.
