Catarina/Tryntje Meyer was baptized by Jacob Mayer and Annatje Kamminga at Tappan (Orange County, New York) 25 May 1717. She married Claes Pietersen at Tappan around 1736. They farmed in that area. They had four children, baptized at Tappan, only one of whom survived childhood. Tryntje died in about 1746.
Tappan is near what became the New York-New Jersey border. Claes was a tenant farmer on the Tappan Patent, which was on both sides of the border. It is not known in which state Tryntje was born nor exactly where she and Claes lived.
Tryntje and Claes had four children: Jacob born 9 Nov 1739, Abraham born 27 July 1741 (see Peterson-2100), Annatje born 19 Aug 1744, Nicholas baptized 7 Sep 1746; further records are known only for Abraham.
