Goochland Wills & Deeds, p.12: Marmaduke Hix of St. James Parish, Goochland to John Coupland of Dale Parish, Henrico. 200 acres on South Fork Deep Creek. Witnesses: Paul Michaux, W. Battersby, Arthur Hopkins. Rec. 21 Mar 1737.

Henrico Co Deeds 1750-1774

p.60-83 5 Aug 1751 Purcharsers of 1/2 lots in town called Westham laid off in Henrico Co. Deeds executed by Peter Randolph Esq. Paul Micheaue of Cumberland Co, Lot 90.

Note: Goochland First Book 1728-1734: 21 Apr 1727 Jacob and John Michaux of Henrico Co, St. James Parish to Daniel Croom. 100 acres, south side James bequeathed by Abraham Michaux, dec'd, to this sd two sons. Witness: Stephen Hughes Antone Morgan [brother-in-law], Joel Carr, William Davis. Rec. 21 May 1728.

This land and another 100 acres was left by Will to Abell Croom, son of the above Daniel and sold by him to Robert Smith of Gloucester on 20 Jan 1737. The description at that time says South side James on Deep Creek and Jones Creek.
