Biography

Mary Miles, the daughter of Timothy and Mary Jane Miles, was born about 1847 in Michigan. She married Alonzo Southwick, probably about 1870 or 1871 as their first child was 8 years old in 1880.

Mary was born in 1846 and died in 1889. Her husband Alonzo married Hattie Southwick in 1890. On the 1900 census he was living in Thornapple, Barry, Michigan with Hattie, his mother-in-law Mary Jane Miles, and two of his children, Nettie A. 17 and Bertice 14, who were Mary's children, not Hattie's. (They were born in March 1883 and March 1886.)
