Biography

NOTE:- statement below appears to be incorrect because:- The marriage of a John Millar to a Jonet Young is not found in the OPR's all Scotland over the period 1664 to 1686 when John married Janet Cunninghame in Newton. Also we have a Johne Millar born 1651 in Newton coupled with the marriage in Newton to a Newton girl means I am more inclined to favour 1651 Johne to John Millar 1657 born in Inveresk to a John Millar and Margaret Kid as his parents so I have removed them as his parents. Drummie-1 .

John Millar was also married to Jonet Young. The location of Death is not known and date is assumed from birth of youngest known child in 1705.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

Miller-36047 and Millar-1054 appear to represent the same person because: need to resolve which version of surname to use (Millar or Miller, both of which can be used interchangeably over a person's live), but family looks identical
