Biography

Anna Gnaegi married John Miller, Sept. 18th, 1808, and they moved from Pennsylvania to Holmes Co., Ohio. F. H., M. of the Amish Mennonite Church. Occupation: farmer.[1]

From the record of his father:
9154, John Miller, 9146, moved to Ohio, about 1815, and located in the southeast part of German Tp., Holmes Co., but later moved to Berlin Tp. His name is generally written John, but it really was Annas, the same name that appears in John 18:13.
Children: (A) Yost, 9155; (B) Daniel, 9156; (C) David, 9158; (D) Catherine, Feb. 14, 1783— Feb. 20, 1843, m. Benjamin Hochstetler, of fam. 1665; (E) Jacob, 9159; (F) John or Annas, Feb. 16. 1787— Feb. 16, 1867, m. Anna Gnaegi, of Gnagey Gen. Fams. 3-64; see fams. 6496, note, 4468, 4627; (G) Elizabeth, Mar. 16, 1789— deceased, m. Moses Beachy. the first Amish couple to marry in Holmes Co., Ohio, of Beachy Gen. Fams 69-191; (H) Isaac, 9160; (I) Emanuel, 9161; (J) Solomon, Nov. 10, 1795 — killed by a falling tree; (K) Elias, June 22, 1798 — d. rather young, unmarried.
