Henry was born about 1759 and passed away about 1846
Henry Miller was of Dutch/German descent. He was born in Virginia on December 6, 1759, three months after his father's death. His mother married a man who drove a freight wagon over the mountains. When he was thirteen years old, he left his home, and in a few years, when the Revolutionary War broke out, he answered the call of his country, and did his duty well in the nation's struggle for freedom. On December 4, 1780, he married Sarah Percy, who was at that time seventeen years old. In 1783, they, with their two children, passed over the Alleghenies to the wilds of Kentucky, where they endured the hardships of a pioneer life, sometimes being compelled to live in forts for protection from the hostile Indians. In 1829, they moved to Indiana. Their Children were Nancy, Jacob, Catharine, John, George, Mary, William, James, Elizabeth, Martha, Henry, Sarah, and Andrew, thirteen in all, and they raised them everyone to mature years. Henry Miller was an earnest, devoted, consistent and steadfast every day Christian, and the ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church for many years. He was tall, with square, broad shoulders, regular features and bright eyes, with a pleasant face and cheerful temper, and "as straight as an Indian at ninety-four years of age. His wife, Sarah, was a worthy companion and helpmate, always happy and contented, and endeavoring to train her thirteen children for lives of Christian usefulness. Her constant reading of the Bible and love for its truths, was her most marked characteristic. She was born September 13, 1763, and died in 1835. [1]They came to Wisconsin in a covered wagon in 1849. Settled at Pleasant Hills.[2]
Henry and Sarah are buried in the Oxford Cemetery which is three of four miles northeast of Dayton, Indiana. There is a marker. Sarah's tombstone reads "Sarah, wife of Henry Miller died Feb. 1, 1838 aged 74 y. 4 m. 21 d" There are two tombstones for Henry's grave. The original has been broken. The remaining part reads "Henry Miller Died Jan. 18, 1864 aged" The Daughters of the American Revolution has placed a relatively new tombstone next to Henry's original that reads "Henry Miller US Army Virginia Line Rev. War 1759 1846

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Henry by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Henry:
Is there a source for Henry's parents and grandparents? I see that the bio mentions he is of German descent, but currently the attached grandparents are Millers from Rappahanock/Essex County, VA and are originally from England. I think the error might be at the grandparents level, but couldn't find a source for the parents either.
