Adam Müller (Miller) was born on 17 Nov., 1703 in Schresheim, Baden, Germany[1][2][3][4]. Also known As: Mueller in Germany[5].The baptism record says his father is from Lambsheim. [6]. Adam was a Lutheran in religion[7][8]. About Sept.,1720 Adam married Anna Barbara Koger in Germany, possibly in Schresheim[9].
On 1 Feb., 1720 arrives at Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA[10][11].
1 FEB 1720 date for arrival in U.S. is, so far, the only date known. Some conjecture for later dates. But had to be no later than 1724 as he was recorded in Virginia in 1724. Harrington-1886 12:41, 7 January 2016 (EST)
Adam immigrated to Pennsylvania Colony 1724[12]. Adam had come with his wife and an unmarried sister and settled in Lancaster Cty, Pennsylvania Colony[13]. In 1724 Adam and family had moved to Williamsburg, VA[14][15][16][17]Adam may have settled in Page County, VA in 1726[18][19], 26 May, 1726 Adam purchased two tracts of land, 200 acres and 217 acres from one Jacob Greuter (Cryter) of Orange County (VA) on north side of Shenando River (Shenandoah). Interestingly Adam sold the same tracts on 16 March, 1726[20] referenced to Orange county deed books[21].
Sometime around 17 June, 1730, Adam and his friends bought the 5000 acre tract from Jacob Stover for £400 or more[22]. In 1733 Adam petition Governor Gooch in Williamsburg for patent on land already settled[23][24].
By 1741, the Millers had moved to Bear Lithia Springs, Rockingham Co., Virginia[25]. 13 MAR, 1741Adam was naturalized in Virginia by Gov. William Gooch[26][27]. In 1742, purchased 820 acres from Joseph Bloodsworth at Bear Lithia Spring Shenadoah River, Virginia[28].
11 FEB 1745 Adam was commissioned by the court to mark portions of the Rockingham Turnpike, Rockingham Co., Virginia[29]. On 12 May, 1746 Rockingham Cty., VA was appointed constable by court: North River and below Peaked Mount[30]. And on 21 Nov., 1746 was appointed Overseers of the Road from Alexander Thompsons to Swift run gap[31][32]. On 21 May, 1747 Adam and wife were witnesses to land transaction[33]. Adam and his wife Anna Barbara Miller were witnesses on 23 May, 1747 about Thomas . Cotner refused license to sell liquors[34]. And on 16 and 17 Aug., 1748 Adam sold to Jacob Miller 200 acres on the Shenandoah River for £20 5s[35]. On 20 JUN 1749, received in Williamsburg?, Virginia land patent[36][37][38]. This property was deeded to son in law
20 May, 1752 in Augusta Cty., VA Court orders: Adam Miller and son to be added to Hans Magart's road hands on road from Shanando River to top Blue Ridge[39]. On 19 Nov., 1755, Adam was Appointed guardian of Michael Coager orphan of Nicholas Coager 19 NOV 1755, nephew, Rockingham Cty., Virginia[40][41]. While Adam was appointed guardian of Nicholas in 1755, Adam Miller along with Jacob Koger and William Carpenter posted bond to administer the estate of Nicholas' father, apparently sometime in 1743[42]. And in 1758, was in Lt. Christian Bingaman Co., in the French and Indian War[43][44][45][46].
20 Mar., 1764 £50, 600 acres to Henry Miller, possibly his son, on Shenandoah and Elk Run[47]. 28 SEP 1764 deeded to son in law Jacob Bare his property at Bear Lithia Springs[48][49]. 15 Mar., 1768 Adam Miller bond administrator of George Gost[50] Note: Walter Harrington Not entirely sure if this the right Adam Miller.
On 28 July, 1783 son-in-law, Jacob Bär was appointed administrator of Adam Miller[51]. Apparently Adam at this time had become incapable of managing his affairs Walter Harrington.

After hearing about the wonderful fertile country beyond the mountains, Adam decided to see if for himself. He followed the same trail taken by Spotswood and crossed the Blue Ridge Mountains at Swift Run Gap. He was so pleased with the look of the country, that he immediately returned home for his family and brought them back to the valley. He built a cabin near the present day Page-Rockingham County line, however, this site proved to be unhealthy so, several months later he erected another cabin a few miles further south. This site, known as Green Meadows, is located a short distance north of present day Elkton, Virginia. Controversy still exists as to who was the first permanent settler in the Shenandoah Valley. There are many records of explorations of the Valley, however, it is traditionally claimed for Adam Miller, that he was the first permanent white settler here. The date given to this first settlement is 1726.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Adam by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Adam:

Miller-6871 and Mueller-4155 appear to represent the same person because: same person - born in Germany so LNAB should be Mueller not Miller.

about merger of Miller-6871 & Miller-13952. I have not rejected it nor accepted it. Have to study on it as Miller-6871 has two offspring and Miller-13952 has 4 offspring and none have same name. Need to research this.
