Dona married William Doss Nichols (born on April 18, 1881 in United States; son of George Washington Nichols and Susan Ollie (Huddleson) Nichols). Their son was Burley Doss Nichols (1904–1971)[1].
Dona died on June 5, 1929 in Poinsett, Arkansas, United States, aged 58. She was buried in Nichols Cemetery, Marked Tree, Poinsett County, Arkansas[1].
