Former Local Woman Buried in Chicago Funeral services for Mrs Mary Miller Peavey, widow of Charles A Peavey and former Rockford resident, who died 28th June, at Washington Park Hospital, Chicago, after an operation, were held last Tuesday. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery, Chicago. Mrs Peavey was born on a ship in mid ocean 09 June 1856 (1855) and came to Rockford shortly after her marriage, which was an event of 15th September 1872. The family left Rockfored abouit 27 years ago. She was a member of the Daughters of Rebekah. Two daughters, Mrs Mabel Starek and Mrs Josie Taylor and a grandson, Robert Lee Starek, all of Chicago, survive Mrs Peavey. Her husband died nine years ago.[1]
