Research Notes

The genealogical notes and records of Florence Bernice (Werder) McKarns (1911-2005) include references to the personal knowledge and records of Lyndall (Miller) Rogers, part of which--"a typed part of two pages"--were copied "years ago at Grandmother Miller's."[6] Lyndall/Lyndell (Miler) Rogers (1903-1995) was the daughter of Cort and Jennie Miller, thus "Grandmother Miller's" presumably refers to the home of this William C. Miller (1834-1910)]] and his wife, Margaret Louisa (Rowles) Miller (1845-1938).

No doubt some of the genealogical records were gathered by William C. and Margaret (Rowles) Miller as part of the work on William's biographical sketch, published in 1899. From conversations with Bernice, LVene and others, however, the work to develop information about various details and information about the descendants continued for years.
