Biography

We are unsure if Henry or William was his first name, as it appears a custom to use middle name if named for father and if a son named same the son would use either middle of first name. William was born about 1790, he was a farmer in Pine Grove. We do know his older children were all born in Allentown, Lehigh, Pennsylvania, so he may have been born in that area.

He is found in Pine Grove, Schuylkill in 1840 married to Elizabeth with the children noted, his brother John resided with them for a time[1]
