- Note N2818Mrs. SARAH LOUISE MILLER SHEPPARD, 84, widow of Charles Edward Sheppard of 225 Summit Ave., died at the Washington County Hospital Monday. Born in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Upton and Mary Miller. She was the last surviving member of her generation of family.
- She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
- She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dora L. Cronise and Mrs. Rosy V. Ausherman, both of Hagerstown; two sons, Charles David Sheppard, Marlowe, W.Va., and William R. Sheppard, Hagerstown; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
- Services were held at the Coffman Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
