"Mrs Sarah Jane Cottrell, 80, died last Friday at her home at Pleasant Grove. She was born in VanHiseville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah E Miller. She was a member of the Sons and Daughters of Liberty of Jacksons Mills; of Anchor Grange and the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Andrew Cottrell; two sons, Allen Cottrell, Flemington, and Palmer Cottrell, Pleasant Grove; two daughters, Mrs Lovell Ware, Point Pleasant Beach and Mrs Stanley Moore, Whitesville; a brother, J Alfred Miller, Long Branch; two sisters, Mrs S S Thompson, Red Bank and Mrs Laura White, Pleasant Grove; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral service was conducted at the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Sunday afternoon with the Rev Bertram Carter officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery".
