Humphrey Richard Miller was born on 28 September 1859 at 50, Arthur Street, Gravesend, Kent, his parents were Thomas Miller and Susan Paige ^[1]

He was baptised in St George's, Gravesend on 9 August 1863 ^[2]

He married Mary Sophia Summers on 3 September 1881, in Gravesend, St James. ^{[3] [4]}

Humphrey died in Chatham district in 1943, aged 84 ^[5]

He was buried in Gravesend Municipal Cemetery on 10 December 1943, his address at the time was 44 Shamrock Road, Gravesend ^[6]
