Martha was born in July 1856 in Randolph County, Missouri.
She married James Olmstead and they had seven children: Sarah, William, Lloyd, Leona, Caley, Letha, and Phironia. They also raised their grandson Girlish, son of their daughter Sarah Bray.
Martha died on 15 September 1941 and was buried next to her husband James in the Clark Cemetery, Hermitage, Hickory County, Missouri. [1]
