Biography

Born

https://archive.org/stream/shorthistoryofsa00mill#page/n5/mode/2up 17 DEC 1793. This source compiled in 1885 has some errors: First paragraph is correct. Second paragraph is not correct. It correctly would have stated: This union was blessed with only two children. Barbara Long died on 31 January 1784, just two weeks after the birth of her second child, a son, Daniel Long Miller 16 Jan 1784-9 Sep 1847.

Daniel Miller 13 May 1752-16 Mar 1819 {son of Lodowich Mueller and Anna Barbara Meyer) then after the death of his first wife was married that same year 1784 to Anna Miller Garber 1762-1837, daughter of Johannes Garber 1717-1787 and Anna Barbara Mueller (or Müller) 1733-1808.

Daniel Miller and Anna Barbara Garber were first cousins. Their grandparents-in-common were Johann Michael Mueller 10 May 1692-4 Jan 1771 and Susanna Agnes Berchtol 3 May 1688-1752. Susanna's death occurred near Conococheague, now Washington County, Maryland.

Daniel Miller and Anna Barbara Garber had eleven children of which Samuel Miller 17 Dec 1793-7 Sep 1861 is the subject of the online reference or source book above.

In the third paragraph of the online source book the birthplace of Samuel is uncertain. Most sources place Daniel and Barbara in Derry Township, Dauphin County, PA, USA in 1793. Daniel and Barbara and family migrated to Virginia in 1813.

Buried 1861 Old Miller Cemetery one mile east of the Sugar Creek Church. Bath Township, Allen County, Ohio, USA.

Residence 1839 north of Lima, Allen County, Ohio, USA. Bath Township, Allen County, Ohio, USA.
