Mina Miller was the daughter of Lewis Miller, an Ohio businessman and inventor of the first combine harvester, and Mary Valinda Alexander.[1][2] She married inventor Thomas Alva Edison in 1886 in Akron, Ohio.[3] Their children were[4]:
