Hiram Miller was born about 1821, Pike County, Ohio, and he was married there on 13 July 1842, to Sarah Taylor. During the 1850 Census they were living in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, with their children and Hiram's father (Isaac Miller). In the 1860 Census, it shows Hiram and Sarah with 5 children: Thomas, Almira, Eliza, Rhoda, and Florence. His son Elza R. Miller was apparently born after 1860 (married in 1882). NOTE: daughter Florence Miller was married to Charles Elberson, and she died 20 November 1915, West LaFayette, Tippecanoe Co., Indiana; SOURCE: https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/120214585/person/130198380251/facts ). I could not find any trace of Hiram in the 1870 Census, but his daughter Rhoda Miller had married Gabriel Campbell on 24 December 1868, and sister Florence Miller was living with them during the 1870 Census (Tippecanoe Co., Indiana). And Hiram's daughter Almira was married to Zachariah Taylor Campbell in 1870. Hiram was probably not the Hiram Miller who married Ophelia C. Rush in 1864 (Tippecanoe County). NOTE: Rhoda married (2nd) 4 Nov 1879 to Thomas C. Laughlin (and they were living in Garden City, Kansas, in 1900).
