Biography

Elma was born in 1912. She was a daughter of Adolphus Miller and Annis McCall. She married Lewis Franklin Blackwelder in 1932 in Lancaster County, South Carolina. Elma & Lewis had 10 children. She passed away in 1994.

I remember going to Uncle Lewis's and Aunt Elma's and looking at his beautiful amethyst collection. He gave me a bag full of eggplants. They were so good! Aunt Elma was a sweetie. When my grandmother died ( Ruth) Aunt Elma said " I can never replace her, but I'll be your grandmother if you want me to". I loved her so much.
