John Miller, son of John Miller, was bom at Breckenbrough, in the Parish of Kirkby Wiske, in Yorkshire, in 1633.[1][2] He went over into Ireland as a planter, in 1657, and married Ann, daughter of William Clibborn, who was bom in 1630 in Cowley, in the County of Durham, England.[3] Their children were:

He died in Jan 1693 while residing at Balinagarbery, County Westmeath and was buried at Moateagrenoge (Moate).[5]

John, like many generations to come, was a Quaker.
He was born in Brechenbrough, Yorks, England.
He married Ann Clibben in 1657 in Ireland.
I have a bit on information on him and am searching Chester Co. records for more detailed aspects of his life.... will be adding/updating asap.
Land was in the New Garden area and several Millers were a part of New Garden MM, including a namesake grandson. [19]
John was born about 1633. He passed away in 1714.

As a result of this work, I plan to make significant changes to this profile
- detaching John Miller from his parents who are plainly wrong
- deleting the 'Jr' suffix to his name
- altering his place of birth to Yorkshire
- detaching John Miller who emigrated to Pennsylvania, who was not related to this family
- adding a new son John Miller born in Westmeath in 1665 and died there unmarried in 1708
- deleting essentially all of the text in the current profile after the description of his burial in Moategrenoge and replacing it with a research note stating that the genealogies linking him to the imigrant are wrong.
Reasoned responses to this analysis are welcome here, in the comments section of the freespace page or in the g2g post. I plan to start making changes in about a week.
The contemporary Quaker records tell us clearly that this person came from Yorkshire. Why do we have (all in the same profile)
- birth in Dover, Kent,
- birth in Yorkshire
- birth in Lancashire
- birth in Connecticut
This is rubbish.
There also seems to be no source whatsoever for his father, and the ancestry shown is preposterous. Apparently, this Yorkshire family had its roots in Antrim. That is, his grandfather was born in Antrim, but his great grandfather was born and died in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire.
Secondary sources connect John with these parents, but not Gayen. Ancestry proposes a MM record as showing John father and son, but the image shows 1820 (!).
England Places list has no Brechenbrough, in Yorkshire or anywhere in England. The closest name is Brecks, Yorkshire. Broken Branch, Yorkshire does not show up on the Lists either. Also, there is no Cowley, it should be Copley.
All the records I've seen has Ann Clibborn, not Clibben (as you have in the Bio.).
Miller-18032 and Miller-5644 appear to represent the same person because: same birtn and death years, same spouse. Same FindAGrave. Son died in PA same year as father (this profile) in Ireland, cited MM reference, exact death date, and probate (sometimes confused with death date) probably apply to son and should be removed from this profile.

It is hard to imagine anything less likely.
