There is a duplicate memorial (#61993735) that stems from an alternate theory that he may actually be buried in the Solomon G. Miller Cemetery. Until it can be proven for certain which is actually the correct one, I'm leaving both memorials in place.[1]
The one thing I find suspicious of the Thomas Mennonite Christian Miller is the timing of Glade Christian Miller's will. On that memorial the other contributor states that the will was dated 1840.[2] According to the old stand-by, the "Amish and Amish-Mennonite Genealogies" by Gingerich/Kreider, Glade Christian's will was written on April 27, 1838 and probated January 6, 1840.
If the marker in the Thomas Mennonite Cemetery is correct, then he died in March, 1838 before his will was written. There is nothing out there that I know of that specifies exactly when Christian actually died. If he died in 1838, why did it take nearly 2 years for his will to be probated?
