Hello Kathryn,

I have an erroneous profile that I accidentally created shortly after I joined Wikitree that I would like to merge out of existence. It's a female Bradway born in 1850 and I suppose I could merge it into my own profile but I think it would be "cleaner" to merge it with one that is a closer match and I see that you have 2 that you are the manager of. I didn't think it was appropriate to request it out of the blue so I'm asking here if it's OK and if so, do you have a preference which one?

Here are the particulars: One that should go away: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bradway-529

"Close" matches that I would like to use: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bradway-51 OR https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bradway-322

Please let me know what you think.

Kathy

Hi Kathy,

It doesn't really matter, so go ahead and just merge with one of them. Thanks, Kathryn

Would you please change the privacy settings so they can be edited and updated. Thanks Larry

Kathryn,

George Elmer Whipps my wife's grandfather. I may be able to expand on a few things in that line. It's a little convoluted. I haven't really dug into this site, so I don't know how to proceed.

Thanks, Al

Hi Al,

I have changed George Elmer Whipps' profile to "OPEN", so you can work on this, as well. Thanks for any help you can provide. Kathryn

Hi Kathryn, Elias and Patience Kingsley are my gr x 3 grandparents. My mother, Janet lee Kingsley Selchert, was born in Wonewoc, Summit, Wisconsin. I've been expanding my knowledge of Kingsley;s in Wisconsin for fifty years. We have sources on mimeographed paper if you know what that is. The source on Elias from the 1870 Plat book is from a book that a family friend showed me around 1980, that was probably lifted from Ancestry. I hope I can start adding my information. The pictures of Patience and Elias are lifted from Ancestry, originally posted by a member named Courtney. She had a couple photos of family from her grandfather, Grover Kingsley. I am new here. How do I get permission to expand the sources on Elias Kingsley and Patience Bradway. Selchert-1.

Hello. I am new here, and I'm fairly new to genealogy. I just discovered this site, and your trusted list for Stewart. I'm stuck on a William Stewart b.1806 married to Sarah... any of that fit your Stewart's? Thank you!

Hi Kathryn,

I've found a public domain photo of Cora Sutton https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sutton-135 Could you please open her profile so that I can add it. Many thanks.

Hello, I'd like to add some information and sources to Austin Montow Chapin (Chapin-47). Just wanted to run that by you.

Joyce Collins

I would love to have your help on his line. He links into my husband's BRADWAY line. If you would like to send me a request from his site, I can add you as a 'trusted person' on his site/line.

Thanks, Kathryn

Hi Kathryn, Could you please change the privacy setting to open for Edwina Walker-726 as her birth date is over 150 years ago.

Thanks

Hi Kathryn!

Thank you for adding your DNA Test information to your profile on WikiTree. Your information will be propagated to the profiles of your parents and your ancestors within about 24 hours of being added. It will also propagate to the profiles of the descendants of your ancestors, so they may see your information under the heading "DNA Connections" just as you can see theirs.

Getting started with DNA outlines how to proceed to use your DNA test information on WikiTree and DNA is a link to a collection of links about WikiTree's many features involving DNA.

The DNA Connections list on your profile will provide a visual way for you to find potential relatives on WikiTree who have also added their DNA test information. Using DNA tools at sites like GEDMatch.com, if you find a relative that matches your DNA sufficiently and you have genealogical sources for the intermediate relationships, you can mark the specific parental relationships back to the most recent ancestor that you both share as "confirmed with DNA." For details, guidance, and examples of how to properly document DNA confirmations, see DNA confirmation.

To find other potential relatives, continue adding sourced profiles for other lines until you can connect on all branches. The more branches you are able to add the greater the likelihood of finding potential cousins to match with. The process of identifying which branch elements of DNA relate to will better enable you to find matches that relate to the particular branches you are researching.

Have fun!

Cheryl ~ WikiTree Greeter

Sorry, Phyllis, but I cannot find any links for the names you listed below. My Bozman's go into 2 different lines, and I have no John Spung. Sorry, good luck in your search.
Hi Kathryn. I am way out on a limb here and hope that no one is offended. I am searching for an unknown great grandfather. He was born to an unwed mother named Mary Berry and later married a John Spung. They were all from Perry county. I am tracking down a lot of dna's. A Larry Hayes on Ancestry led me to the Bozman's. Also an aunt of mine was the only one that knew the father's name and she wrote it in a book. Seems like I vaguely remember seeing a Bozman. This is really a needle in a haystack. Any possibility that you know anything? Thanks. Phyllis Bowman Nelson
Hi Kathryn, It appears from your profile that you are not following any G2G tags. As a member of the Mayflower Project you should have - mayflower - as a G2G tag, so you will be kept informed about events and questions in the project. Would you add mayflower to your followed tags. Include a mention of who your Mayflower Ancestor was. Or send me a list of your Mayflower passenger ancestors. Thank you.

Oeps Kathryn,

I see now on the edit page you added links to the original documents already! :D

I missed them as they are not added as references.

Happy Treeing, A.

Hi Kathryn,

I found a long unsourced Gedcom uploaded family Luijben, van Herpt, de Hart etc. I started with the profiles of persons born before 1700 but there is not much to find. So I went down the family line and came along [De_Hart-1066 Wilhelmus de Hart] and found some documents. I hope you do not mind I work on the profile and maybe on more profiles of the family if I find original documents to add as sources. I am part of the Dutch_Roots_Project, active member and living in The Netherlands.

Kind regards from The Netherlands, A.

Hi Kathryn,

I have done some research on some profiles for you, and the team is working on reducing your watchlist. If you could work on approving merges that would be very helpful.

Can you please either open some of the non-living profiles that you manage or orphan them I am unable to add source information without apparent reason. We all want to be helpful in connecting the profiles in our tree. Thanks!
Your Watchlist has 12457 profiles. This is very large. Our systems are designed to handle 5,000. Contributing to more than 5,000 profiles is great (the community thanks you for it!) but don't feel you have to keep so many on your Watchlist. Despite the terminology, there is no shame in "orphaning" Open profiles. :-) This invites others to share responsibility. Since you have more than 10,000, Bulk Trusted List changes tool may not work for you. If so, please contact [email address removed] for help reducing your Watchlist. You have over 35 unanswered merge requests, please go through those requests.

Kathryn, Thank you for adding me to James Butler's trusted list (which I requested). I have found other profiles where I was added either to trusted, or as a manager which I did not request of which you are a manager: -Abbott, Fairchild (I have removed myself from all of those) but there are others-- Do you know how this happened? Is there any way to find all of them. except by eyeballing my Watch List, looking for names I don't recognize or the date Jan 2018?
