->1934 Death

Reported as 75 years old at the time of death, Creswell Friend MILLICAN, died during Jul-Aug-Sep 1934 in the Registration district of Rochford, giving an estimated birth year of 1859.[8] His obituary says that he went to Southend in 1888. He represented the old West Ward as a councilor in 1900-1901 and was at one time the president of the Tradesmen’s Association. [9]


Research Notes

  • First name originally Chas was incorrect. Name is Creswell Friend. Chas may have been his nick name.
  • In 1881Census an E F Millican born 1860 Alston was a boarder in Bird Street Marylebone Middlesex. He was a draper’s assistant.[10] In my opinion this is Creswell Millican, the E being incorrect. I have seen the original on Findmypast Thomson-4079
  • called Chas F Millican in 1901 census
