Biography

There is a discrepancy re. her birth. Her mother was Ann "Archer" at the time of her birth, a widow, so, as she was born in 1855, 2 years before Mary's marriage to Charles Mills, there is no certainty as to who her father is.

It looks as if she was baptised with Charles Mills (half brother) in 1860, after Ann had married Charles Mills in 1858 , thereby "legitimising" her birth.

It is of course possible that Charles Mills is her father, but a gap of 2 - 3 years between her birth and her mother marrying Charles Mills is a bit of a stretch. However, having taken a DNA test I can see that I am connected to the Mills family in the Stow on the Wold area.
