Biography

Forbes was born in about 1848 in Huntly, Aberdeenshire. He was the son of John Milne and Agnes Third

In the 1851 census Forbes (age 3) was the son of John Milne in Clochcan, Old Deer, Aberdeenshire.^[1]

In the 1861 census Forbes (age 13), Scholar, was the son of John Milne at Old Clochtow Private House, Slains, Aberdeenshire.^[2]

In 1871 Forbes (age about 23) was living in Aberdeen St Nicholas, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.^[3]

Forbes married Jane Walker (daughter of john Walker, a general Labourer who had died by 1865) and Elizbeth Walker ms. Knox on 22 Sep 1865 in Aberdeen after Banns in the Scotch Epicopal Church . Witnesses were Robert Walker and Charlotte Walker ^[4]

In the 1881 census Forbes (age 12), Fireman At Comb Factory, was the head of household at 17 Park Lane, Aberdeen St Nicholas, Aberdeenshire. (HIS AGE IS INCORRECT, but this shows he was married, working and with two children listed in 1891 census ^[5]

In the 1891 census Forbes (age 43), Dock Labourer, was the head of household at 46 1/2 Shiprow, Aberdeen St Nicholas, Aberdeenshire.^[6]

Forbes's death (age 51) was registered in 1899 in the St Nicholas district.^{[7] [8]}
