Biography

Jane was born in 1830. She was the daughter of David Milne (a crofter and carrier) and Elizabeth Anderson.

Jane was a domestic servant in Wandershill.

She married widower George Lyall Arbuthnott on 23 May 1863 at Fettercairn. ^[2]

They had at least six children.

She passed away in 1917 at the age of about 87.
