Biography

Viola Minnick was born in St Lawrence County, New York to Jacob and Hannah (Sawyer) Minnick. They lived in Pitcairn. By about age 8, the family had moved to Pensaukee, Oconto, Wisconsin. Here she married George H. Laughlin (b 1861 in Canada) on Christmas day, 1886 at age 20. They had seven children; George F (1887), Frances (1889), Adaline (1891; died at age 2 months), Pearl Adaline ("Addie," 1892), Bernard A (1896), Ulric (1897), and David (1910). George died in 1927. Viola lived until age 72, dying in Oconto. She's buried in a family plot with her mother, father, brother Byron and husband George.
