BIOGRAPHY

Jacob was born about 1804 in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He was married twice. His first wife, name unknown, had two children who did not live and one son named Benjamin who was born in 1850. Jacob next married the widow Catharine Elisabeth Schlemmer nee Reinhard in 1852. She had previously had three sons by Pierre Schlemmer. Together the couple had three children. Jacob died between 1870 and 1880 in Madison Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana.
