Son of Allen Mitchell (abt.1775-) and Mary (Gregory) Shoulders (bef.1780-aft.1833).

MARRIAGE: He married Catherine Gregory, whose name has been incorrectly attributed as Smith. The death certificate of their son Byrum/Byrun listed his parents as Stanford Mitchell and Catherine Gregory (copy attached to Byrum's profile:

DATE OF DEATH - Although there is a gravestone with a date of 1865, he appears on the 1870 census. The gravestone was clearly added many years later and is in error.
