You're on the right track. You need to include more info about the sources of the info you use to create profiles. Ideally you should have a source for each fact. One source can provide info for more than one fact. The WikiTree's Sources Help gives examples of how you do that.
I like to include a biographical narrative for the profiles I manage. I started a narrative for Hugh Hunter so you can see how to do it.
Also, you created some duplicate profiles, for which I proposed merges. The best way to see all of the profiles you've created is your Watchlist, which can be accessed through the My WikiTree drop down menu, at the top of most pages.
Thanks for your message and my apologies that it's taken so long to get back to you.
I see your father's last name was Paterson. Was that the last name on your birth certificate? If so, then you need to edit the Last Name at Birth field on your profile and change it to Paterson.
I'm having a look at your contributions to WikiTree now to give you the feedback you requested.
Kim You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering. Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist. If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.
Hi Kim, Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team! What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests. Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!Welcome to the family! Were really glad youre here. Linda

A belated welcome to WikiTree,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
