Biography

Abraham was a clerk for the Boston and Lowell Railroad in an office in storefronts of the Adams House Hotel in Boston. He married the daughter of that hotel's proprietor, Capt. Laban Adams, a second cousin of the presidents John and John Quincy Adams. He was later an assistant superintendent of the Lowell and Nashua RR, (which became the Central NH RR). During that time he and his family lived in Nashua, where son Abraham was born.
