Francis Morrison Mitchell was born on October 30, 1866 in Doaktown, Northumberland, New Brunswidk, Canada.[1] He was the son of Stephen Mitchell and Gloriannah Jardine. At age 4, he was in his parent's home in Blissfield, Northumberland, New Brunswick, Canada along with 4 siblings.[2]
He married Jessie Eunice Ridge (1869-1919) on July 20, 1889 in Anoka, Minnesota.[3] They had at least 6 children.
He was a commercial Traveler in 1900, in Bangor, Penobscot, Maine. Jessie (age 30) was taking care of the home and children, Benjamin-10, Earl-5, Kenneth-3 and Dora-1.[4]
By 1910, they had moved to Minnesota, where he worked as a Commercial travler for Grocerys, with Jessie takin care of the home and family, Benjamin-20 a cheker in Iron Ore works, Erle-15, Kenneth-12, Dora-11, James-2 and Jesse-11months.[6]
They were living in Duluth, St Louis, Minnesota in 1920, where he was a Wholesale Grocery Salesman. He was a U.S. Citizen by this time. [7]
His wife Jessie Eunice passed away on August 26, 1919, in Bethel, Minnesota, at the age of 49. They had been married 30 years.[8]
In 1930 He and his brother were Partner's in a Hotel, in Rush City, Chisago, Minnesota.[9]
He died at age 84, on January 11, 1951 in East Bethel, St. Louis, Minnesota, and was buried in the Oak Leaf Cemetery in Bethel, Anoka, Minnesota.[1]
