Biography

Erle Morrison Mitchell was born on June 22, 1894 in Bangor, Penobscot, Maine.^[1] He was the son of Francis Mitchell and Jessie Ridge. At age 5, he and his 3 siblings were in their parent's home in Bangor, Penobscot, Maine, where his father was a Comercial Traveler.^[2]

His family had moved to Duluth, Saint Louis, Minnesota by the time he was age 15. ^[3]

He served in the the Army for WWI, Enlisted on December 12, 1917 and discharged on July 29, 1919.^[4]

Erle (age 25) was an Electrician in a Electric Shop in Duluth, St Louis, Minnesota in 1920; Single, and living in his Parent's home.^[5]

Erle married Myrna Pearl Musolf (1901-1972) on February 1, 1922 in St. Louis, Minnesota. They had one known child.

1. Jenne Eunic Mitchell (1923-1979)^[6]

He and Myrna lived in Duluth, St Louis, Minnesota in 1930, where Erle was the Secretary Treasurer for the Electric Company.^[7]

They were living on Spear Avenue, Duluth in 1940, where he was an Electrician, and Myrna was taking care of the home and Jeanne-16.^[8]

His wife Myrna Pearl passed away on May 5, 1972, in Elk River, Minnesota, at the age of 70. They had been married 50 years.

His daughter Jeanne Eunice passed away on November 28, 1979, in Hennepin, Minnesota, at the age of 56.

He died at the age of 89, on April 20, 1984 in Elk River, Sherburne, Minnesota,^[9] and was buried in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota.^[1]
