Rebecca Mitchell Henderson came to Titusville by covered wagon when there was no oil and no city. In 1803 when Rebecca Mitchell was 13 she made the trip from Centre County ..., continuing their migration begun from Ireland before Rebecca was born.
Rebecca married Samuel Henderson and when Rebecca's first son was born - William - Indians for miles around flocked to her cabin to see a white baby. They had never seen one.
