Clearly in his will he states his wife is Alice. Also, by the fact that he has his brother in law as last name Cawley and many other relatives by that last name, would it be safe to suggest that Alice's maiden name was Cawley? Would the appropriately certified people care to create a profile for Alice Cawley and attach it to Robert Michell?
Thamzen and Thomasine are the same person.

Given the prior notes is he liable to have had both a daughter Thomasine and a daughter Thamzen?? Is it safe to assume that Thomasine Mitchell Crocker does not belong here?

John, I'm sorry I must have approved some incorrect merges, etc. Please do go ahead and disconnect the parents, and Sibil. I have been very uneasy about the way this ended up, and very glad you have the correct data.

Raymond, do you agree?

Um, this profile is a mess. My ancestor Robert Michell of Crewkerne, Somerset, father of Thamzen (Thomasine) Hull, didn't have a wife Margaret Bates, didn't have a daughter Sibil, and his parents are unknown, oops. Should I go ahead and create a new profile for him?

Possibly there is some confusion with two different men named Robert Mitchell/Michell here. Their dates do not match.

Crewkerne village, Stockland and Buckland Newton are all near each other in Cornwall, southeast England. Halifax in Yorkshire is in northwest England. The dates don't match, and no evidence is presented to show that Thamzen (or Thomasine) is a sister of Sibil.

I regretfully conclude I have made an error in this merge.

Thank you Kirk, and I hope when the pending merge is completed that the final ID will be the one spelled Michell.
FYI LNAB is Michell, not Mitchell according to the visitation of Cornwall.

No further information at this time, John. It is time to search NEHGS again, etc.
As far as I can tell, there is no evidence for Robert Mitchell's parents or wife, although there seems to have been a different Robert Mitchell who married a Margaret Bates on the other side of England (Yorkshire) in 1591. Does anyone have any further information?

Mitchell-508 and Mitchell-503 appear to represent the same person because: they have the same wife, parents, child, etc.
