Mitchell-5327 and Mitchell-14879 appear to represent the same person because: They are the same women, but I'm still not convinced the parents are John, etc. See, http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~battle/baronage/page413.html where it says she was the daughter of a DR. MITCHELL and this record of a Dr. David Mitchell in the National Archives re: Gladney would make a better candidate as her father. "Inventory of writs, dated 1519-1684, relating to the lands of Gladney, in the parish of Coupar, regality of St. Andrews and sheriffdom of Fife, disponed by Doctor James Weemys, principal of St. Leonard's College in St. Andrews, to Mr. David Mitchell, doctor of medicine, in liferent, and to William Robertsone, bailie at Methall, in fee, conform to his disposition of this date, said William Robertson by his signature hereto granting receipt of said writs from Dr. James Weemys."

Hi Angela Did you look at the documentation on this and related profiles? This family is pretty well documented. Have you started building the family you speak of informations? That is what you would do is start building the profile and if they match in dates then they would be considered for a merge.Thank you for giving me a heads up.If I can be of assistance please let me know Jenny

I believe that there might be two Margaret Mitchell+William Robertson pairings. The Margaret who married William Robertson of Gladney is said in those sources to be the daughter of Dr. Mitchell, and the Dr. Mitchell that makes the most sense is Mr. David Mitchell, doctor of medicine, who had a liferent in Gladney and presumably Gladney was Margaret's dowry and how William became William R of Gladney.

Mitchell-7025 and Mitchell-5327 appear to represent the same person because: duplicate wife of William Robertson
